Christopher to return to the Jazz Cafe for Solo Show

Christopher Ellis

Christopher Ellis will be returning to the Jazz Cafe in London this September.  A familiar face at the Jazz Cafe, Christopher performed there from a young age with his father, the ‘Godfather of Jamaican Rocksteady’ Alton Ellis.  His solo show there in 2012 was a sell-out!

Much has happened for Christopher since his last visit, he was awarded Best British Male Newcomer at the Brit Reggae Awards, he hosted his own show on BBC Radio 1Xtra as part of the Xtra Talent season and he released ‘End of Time’ and ‘Don’t Change Your Number’ on the Ghetto Youths album ‘Set Up Shop Volume 1′.  The album has seen great success, peaking at No.1 on the Billboard Chart.

Fresh from a tour of the United States with the Marley brothers and the Ghetto Youths, the Londoner is coming home to perform this solo show. He’s looking forward to performing a more intimate gig after sell out shows at venues such as the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The Jazz Café is an important place to me.  The audience can expect to hear old favourites as well as new material from my ‘Better Than Love’ EP which I’ll be performing live for the first time in the UK. Christopher Ellis

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 24th July.
